Upgrade by Blake Crouch

Wow! This speculative novel is amazing. Wow. I loved Mr. Crouch's Recursion very much. But I think Upgrade is even more impactful. It's just as inventive, but asks even bigger, more poignant questions about the direction of civilization. And somehow, given all that, he manages to land on an up note, with empathy and optimism. Read it and you won't be sorry.
