Not Another Love Song by Julie Soto

Genre: Contemporary Romance
Vibe: Deeply romantic music nerds with issues galore
Writing: Lush and snappy
Tropes: Rivals to lovers and rock stars (by way of classical strings!)
Why I read it: In January I went to the glamorous launch party for Lovestruck Books in Cambridge, Massachusetts. And one of the guests was the sales rep for Hachette (who’s publishing Thrown for a Loop this November!) The rep had brought a stack of recent ARCs for the bookstore staff, and the one the booksellers were fighting over was the latest Julie Soto.
“Hmm,” I thought. “Better check that out.”
It took me another couple of months to pick up my first Julie Soto book. But it won’t be my last! I love the fantastic writing and the deeply complex story conflicts. Gwen and Alex have a lot of baggage they need to cut through before they get their HEA. But I adore the classical music setting and the music nerdiness.
10/10, would recommend!
