Baseball Romance! Let’s get our game on…

Do you care about baseball season starting up again today? Hey, me neither! 😂 But I do have two baseball favorites to share, and I hope you enjoy them. One is M/F and one is M/M. I chose these two books because they both have massive on-field cred. I felt a little less clueless and a little more invested in baseball while I read them.

Team Player by Juliana Keyes

Ms. Keyes is great at writing misunderstood heroes. This is a true sports romance with fabulous story development and great writing! I was all in for this struggling player and the PR assistant who’s forced to deal with difficult people. The really fun thing about this book (and its follow-up, Bench Player) is the world building around The Thrashers’ clubhouse. I loved the team and its grumpy manager, too. There’s no sign of a third in the series, but I live in hope.

Unwritten Rules by K.D. Casey

Reading this book, you can’t help but feel Ms. Casey’s dedication to the game. She loves baseball—and not just the obvious parts. She loves the angst of spring training and the sweltering heat of the outfield. Her dudes are fully realized and fun to be around. If watching an actual baseball game were this much fun, I’d do it more often.
